A billionaire invites models to help his daughter choose a mother — but she chooses the housekeeper

What if a child's sincerity were worth more than all the appearances in the world? That's the unexpected lesson learned by Guillaume Lemaire, a wealthy businessman used to controlling everything. That day, in his vast mansion, he thought he was hosting a simple social gathering. However, a few words spoken by his daughter would change everything…

A perfect plan… until his daughter spoke.

Since his wife's death,  Guillaume Lemaire  lived for only two things: his work and his six-year-old daughter  , Émilie , his ray of sunshine. Desiring to rebuild his family, he had organized a rather unusual reception. Around him, beautiful young women, carefully selected, were meant to win Émilie's attention so that she would accept a new mother figure.

But when the little girl, in her sky-blue dress, pointed at  Claire  – the estate's housekeeper – a silence fell over the room. "I want her to be my mommy," she said simply, under the astonished gaze of her father.

Simplicity that resonates more than luxury

Claire, discreet and kind, wore neither jewelry nor expensive perfume. Yet, Émilie saw in her something that all the gold in the world couldn't offer:  true tenderness . Every evening, Claire told her stories, braided her hair, and reminded her to brush her teeth.

For Guillaume, it was unthinkable. How could his daughter possibly prefer a simple woman to these ideal candidates? But faced with Émilie's categorical refusal—who declared she would never speak to him again if he sent Claire away—the billionaire began to observe, truly. And little by little, he understood: what made his daughter happy wasn't prestige, but presence.
