Mistakes to avoid (and how to correct them)

- Too much water : grey-green leaves that are softening? Space out waterings and repot in a more mineral mix.
- Not enough light : stems growing longer, little fragrance? Move the plant closer to a sunnier window.
- Sowing too deep : lavender likes a very thin covering; reseed on the surface if necessary.
- A pot without a drainage hole is a deal-breaker. Drill a hole or change the container.
